Rides from Tame to Tenacious

The Women's Ride Day series leads riders on exciting routes at paces to satisfy the entire road-rider spectrum. It is a great opportunity to socialize with fellow lady cyclists and ride in a friendly atmosphere on an easy-paced, challenging, or push your limits ride. All rides will return to the starting location and will be followed by refreshments and snacks.

The Power Ride, 40/50 miles: A spirited ride for strong cyclists that will make you hurt–in all the best ways. 
Intermediate Athlete Ride, 20/30 miles: A challenging ride that's perfect for cyclists who want to transition from beginning to intermediate. Socializing is encouraged. 
Recovery/Beginner Ride, 10/15 mile: This is a true beginners ride. Great for those looking to get into shape, athletes new to the bike or for ladies in need of a recovery effort ride. We strive to ensure safety, inclusion, and encouragement.

All rides include ride leaders, rabbits and sweeps so no one is left behind. Each ride day will begin with a clinic for intermediates and beginners to enhance their riding technique followed by a ride to put those fresh skills into action. Clinics will start as the Power Ride leaves.

  • Please arrive by 7:30 AM
  • Wheels down at 8 AM for The Power Ride
  • Clinic for beginner and intermediate riders begins at 8 AM 
  • Wheels down at 8:30 AM for the Intermediate and Beginner rides

Our mechanic will set up the stand for pre-ride checks and minor adjustments before the ride. However, if it's been a while since your last ride or if you have any questions about the state of your bike, we strongly suggest that you bring your bike to any one of our service counters for a free safety check prior to the day of the ride.

What to bring:
- Bike & Helmet (required)
- Closed toe shoes
- Personal ID
- Sunglasses
- Water bottles
- Nutrition

This event is shine-only. We will post a message to Bicycle Sport Shop's Facebook page if the ride is canceled due to rain and/or unsafe road conditions.
